How Bald Eagles Became Bald

This story begins when bald eagles had very long hair that was as white as snow. They had this long hair to protect themselves.

In a town called Zujiggy there was a chief that ruled everything, and was very selfish. One day he was very sad. His name was Chief Roeynk. Ukeye someone in his tribe asked, "Why are you so sad, Chief Roeynk?" The chief answered, "The eagles are breaking wings because their hair is too long, you see, their hair is getting caught in their wings and then they break their wings. Chief Roeynk said, "He wanted the eagles to not have hair, except a little bit on the top of their heads. Ukeye suggested that Chief Roeynk go to Sky God and ask if Sky God would change the eagles' hair. The chief said, "Great idea, I'll go right now."

So Chief Roeynk went to Sky God and asked, "Can you pleee-aaase change the eagles' hair pleeee-aaase!!! He said they're always breaking wings because their hair is too long, so could you pleee-aaase make them bald, except for a little hair on top of their heads. "Okay," said Sky God. "But you will have to give me your son and you will have to help me." So they worked day and night for a month and finally it was done.

The chief was still gloomy, because only half of the eagles were fixed and the other half was still breaking wings.

The next month Chief Roeynk went to Sky God and asked Sky God "would you pleee-aaase turn the other half of the eagles bald pleee-aaase?" Sky God said, "Okay." But, this time I need your tribe and you will have to help me again. They worked day and night for another month.

Chief Roeynk gave the sky god his tribe and his son.

Then Sky God was happy and joyful, because the Chief's son and tribe were very resourceful to him. Chief Roeynk was very happy because none of the eagles were breaking wings anymore. That's how eagles came to be bald.
